A BILL to amend article seven, chapter six of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
by adding thereto a new section, designated section two-b,
relating to the salaries of certain appointive state
officers; and increasing the salaries of the commissioner of
the division of labor, the commissioner of the division of
motor vehicles and the adjutant general.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That article seven, chapter six of the code of West
Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, be
amended by adding thereto a new section, designated section two-
b, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 7. COMPENSATION AND ALLOWANCES.
§6-7-2b. Salaries of certain appointive state officers.
Notwithstanding any other provision of this code to the
contrary including section two-a of this article, effective thefirst day of July, one thousand nine hundred ninety-four, the
annual salary of each named appointive state officer shall be as
follows:
Commissioner, division of motor vehicles, sixty-five
thousand dollars; commissioner, division of labor, sixty-five
thousand dollars; and adjutant general, sixty-five thousand
dollars.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to increase the salary of
the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles, the Commissioner of Labor and
the Adjutant General to sixty-five thousand dollars.
